Adidas is stepping ahead of the game and is already releasing winterized versions of the NMD’s. I’m a bit surprised that they used the XR1 silhouette instead of the traditional NMD. The XR1 hasn’t been very successful for the brand so I think it was a bit ill-advised to use it for the Fall/winter collection. So far only two colors have surfaced and each features a primeknit construction and a sew on bootie that extends a little bit higher than the ankle. Everything else remains the same- midfoot cage/lacing system ( built with full grain leather materials),the boost midsole and if you look across the edges , there is some type of tape- like material ( I believe it was applied to seal any possible perforations to keep the feet warm).
The shoes will be available for purchase by the 27th of October .
