This has been the year of the uptempos, from the classic black on black to the bulls red uptempo. We have seen the return of all the og colorways, and we’ve also been spoiled with newer ones; the one that really caught my attention is the Bordeaux edition. I was also fond of the 3M reflective edition that dropped a few weeks ago. The triple white Nike Air More Uptempo is the latest iteration of the model and is definitely the perfect based shoe for custom work.
They come in a white on white color combination, and feature full-grain leather and durabuck uppers. The iconic Air wording will also grace the panels in white. They are also equipped with visible air units for cushioning purposes; Scottie Pippen made the uptempo famous during the Bulls dynasty. I’m surprised he was able to play in those because they are pretty heavy, I wouldn’t recommend them for basketball given the type of sets NBA teams run these days- spacing, ball movement, uptempo offense which require players to move quick and fast. But I think for bigger guys that like to operate in the low post area, the uptempo might be a good fit.
