The Nike Kobe AD was conceived with Kobe’s injuries in mind; I was very excited when the shoes were introduced . I actually went out of my way to buy the original Cool grey edition. But To my disappointment, they don’t work well with folks with wide feet. They are too narrow and the midfoot flywires make them unbearable- they are intended to keep the foot locked in so they literally squeeze your foot. So i definitely recommend the Kobe AD to people with a narrower foot.
They are light, low profile and feature a Zoom Air unit at the heel. This is the first kobe’s signature shoes with a midsole- they sport the Lunarlon foam in the midsole (lunarlon is 30 percent lighter than traditional Phylon and allows the force of impact to be more evenly distributed, which helps reduce painful pressure points on feet).
