When the very first pair of Paul George signature sneakers dropped, I was eager to test them on the court , but got a bit disappointed when I couldn’t get my shoes past my midfoot- my feet are very wide and getting the shoes on was strenuous. They are more suitable for individuals with narrow feet. Well , I think I’ll give them another shot again now that they are coming out in a very special olive green color.
Nike will certainly not admit that the Nike PG1 Elements were inspired by the Undefeated Jordan 4, but the brand is a genius at making their products appealing. The shoes come in an olive and black upper with orange highlights, and feature a combination of mesh and hairy suede from the midfoot to the heel counter. They also sport a forefoot strap supported by flywire cables and are equipped with Air units at the forefoot for a low profile yet responsive cushioning. They are completed by a grey speckled midsole. Here is a breakdown of the features :
-
Forefoot strap with Flywire technology loop system provides adaptive support
-
Zoom Air unit under the forefoot and plush sockliner provide responsive cushioning
-
Full-bootie construction delivers a snug, 1-to-1 fit
-
Multidirectional scale-inspired blade traction provides ultimate court grip
