The Air Jordan 5 Retro Bronze will officially release on Saturday September 24th. I had a chance to see a pair in person today and let me tell you something; the pictures you saw on various sneaker blogs do not do them justice. These shoes are a thing of beauty and in my opinion could be ranked as one of the best 5’s released this year beside the Metallic 5’s
. They come in a navy blue color scheme with white and black accents on the midsole and eyelets; they feature a good quality soft leather upper from the toe cap to the heel. Mesh and plastic come into play on the outer sides and the extension of the tongue for ventilation purposes. The tongue is covered in bronze with a glossy synthetic leather and stitched up on it is a navy Jumpman, which also appears on the heel are and outsole.
As far performance goes, you know these 5’s were made for the game; they are just a little bit heavy but they offer great foot stability , enough padding in the inside to cushion the foot. I will rate cushioning on these at 7 to 8 out of 10; traction is definitely great with the presence of the herringbone pattern on the outsole. I don’t think these will be hard to get so i will invite everyone to be patient and buy them for retail or slightly above; as a matter of fact, i found a few sellers on ebay selling them for close to retail, see listings below.
