I was initially disappointed with the Jordan 1 Rare air when the very first images of the shoes emerged. I changed my mind a couple of days ago when I came across an “on foot” picture from solebox. There are few folks who have the knack for wearing a shoe in such a way that it totally makes you want to get a pair. This is exactly what happened when Solebox posted the on foot picture on IG. To be honest with you, if it wasn’t for the “Nike Air Text”on the back that appears out of place, the Jordan rare air could easily content with the “Shattered Backboard 1
“ or even the “Banned 1“.

Branding has been updated with this model- the usual wings logo has been replaced by the “Air Jordan ” wording ; and the heel panel signature Jumpman by a stitched up ” Nike Air” text with a swoosh logo in -between. The swoosh logo on the lateral & medial side remains untouched. With a perforated toe box for ventilation purposes, the Rare air sports rubber outsole equipped with air units at the heel and forefoot for maximum cushioning.

I bought them. I get many compliments from non-collectors and collectors are usually surprised at how good they look on feet. I recommend, especially since you can find them for less than $100…
