Nike’s latest shoe, the Air Jordan 4 Canyon Purple, is a reinterpretation of one of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes. The Air Jordan 4 was first released in 1989 and quickly became a fan favorite thanks to its unique design and innovative features. The Canyon Purple version updates the classic shoe with a suede upper in a deep purple shade, accented with hits of anthracite on the netting, tongue tags, wings, heel tabs, and laces. Jordan 4 Canyon Purple: Resale Value
The graph above gives us a summary of the current earnings of the shoe per size sold. As you can see, 50% of the sales resulted in earnings between $20 and $45 ( sizes 10w,10.5w, 6.5w,9w and 9.5w). 40% led to profit margins between $60 and $90 ( sizes 11w-12w and 8.5w), and the remaining 10% resulted in earnings above $100 ( size 8w). We can’t be too sure on size 8w since there was only one sale recorded for it ( that’s a small sample size). What can we conclude about this shoe?
At the exception of size 6.5 and 9, most pairs are leading to profit margins above $40, that is a mark up of 19% ( above average), so it is safe to say that the Jordan 4 Canyon Purple is a good shoe to resell. If you’re looking to maximize your earnings, I’ll recommend sizes 11w-12w ( larger sizes), their margins are more consistent and unlikely to decrease as the shoe draws near its official release date.
