Like I was saying yesterday, a good way to gauge what Jordan Brand is brewing is a quick look at the overseas illegitimate websites. I’m still wondering how these guys have access to so much so early. The Air Jordan 12 Retro Suede Red will certainly make their way unto the sneaker scene in 2017.
They are completely red from the toe box to the heel counter, without forgetting the tongue, the sole and even the inner liner. They feature a mixture of premium nubuck/suede leather and synthetic leather on the mudguard. Branding comes in white and grey in the customary Jumpman on the outside of the tongue, the outsole and the heel.
Even the metal eyelets are red; they will sport invisible Air units on the heel and forefoot for cushioning purposes, and the dual density inner liner will ensure that the foot stays locked in. They are also equipped with carbon fiber shanks on the outsole to lighten up the weight- they are about 2lbs 6oz ( a bit too heavy). I tried playing basketball with the Flu Game 12 and as much as I like them, I would hardly recommend them for on court performance; they are a bit narrow near the toe box. Another negative aspect of the 12’s is the lack of ventilation; they literally choke your foot, and that in turn causes fatigue ( shout out to MJ for playing in these, he must have been a phenomenal athlete). You can watch my entire video breakdown on the Flu game below
I don’t know what JB is up to with these Air Jordan 12 Retro Suede Red; they came out with the all blue color and now the triple red- hopefully these shoes won’t cause any problems between Crips and Bloods.
There is no official release date on the triple red 12 yet, so stay tuned for further updates and check out the pictures below.
