Nike is bringing back the OG form of the Air Jordan 6 Midnight Navy this week, and sneakerheads are rejoicing. The shoe was originally introduced in 2000 and quickly became a cult classic among fans of the Air Jordan line. This time around, Nike is staying true to the original design, with a few minor updates to keep things fresh. The result is a shoe that feels like a blast from the past, but with a modern twist. Whether you’re a diehard fan of the Air Jordan 6 or you’re just looking for a stylish new sneaker to add to your rotation, the Midnight Navy is definitely worth checking out. Jordan 6 Midnight Navy Stock Numbers
We’ll go with the following:
- FTL & Champs will receive â…“ of the total inventory
- The remaining major & minor retailers will receive the remaining ⅓
We’ll also add the following assumptions:
- Each FTL will receive about 24 pairs and Champs will be assigned 12 pairs per store
- Their online stores will receive about a 1/3 of the total the physical stores are receiving
- HOH locations will be given about 70 pairs each
Numbers:
FTL Physical stores=830 x 24= 19920 pairs
HOH = 170 x70=11900 pairs
Champs Physical stores= 547x 12=6564 pairs
Online allocation ( FTL + Champs)=38384/3=12,795 pairs
Total from FTL and Champs = (19920+ 11900+6564+12795) pairs =51179 pairs let’s stretch it to 55,000 pairs for possible errors in our assumptions
We already established that this number represents about 1/3 of the entire production for North America so the grand total would be:
T= 55,000 x3=165,000 pairs
Since this number only represents the production for North America, we can conclude that the total number of pairs made would fall within the
150,000 < Number of Possibly Pairs Made< 300,000
Jordan 6 Midnight Navy Resale Value
The chart above gives us a breakdown of the average sale price of the shoe since May 7, 2022. The resale value hasn’t changed much and is currently $226. With the stock numbers being relatively high, I expect it to remain within the $215-$250 interval depending on the size obtained. But let’s find our five number summary for further insights.
Minimum: 197
Quartile Q1: 217
Median: 220
Quartile Q3: 224
Maximum: 271
The lowest the shoe sold for was $197 ( that was for a size 11) , while the highest sale was $271 ( for a size 14). 1/4 of the shoe sold for prices from $197 to $217 ( mostly sizes 8,8.5,9 ,9.5 and a few size 10 and one size 11). Half of the shoes sold for prices between $217 and $224 ( mostly sizes 10,10.5, 11 and few size 9.5). And another 1/4 sold for prices from $224 to $271 ( mostly sizes 12,13,14 and some scattered 11,11.5 and a 7). There were several outliers from the low and high side
Set of outliers: {197, 198, 239, 240, 241, 241, 242, 243, 243, 244, 254, 265, 266, 266, 266, 266, 267, 267, 267, 269, 271}
And from these outliers ( irregular values), we can make some good inferences. Most pairs will sell for prices from $217 to $238, leading to a -$14 loss or a +$4 profit. To see what sizes might lead to a decent profit, refer to the chart below.
Verdict
Do not attempt to resell it. This is excellent news for collectors, you don’t have to fight bots to acquire a pair. Exercise patience and wisdom and you might even be able to get it for below retail.
