Now let’s talk about the possible number of pairs made via Nike only. The shoe already released overseas, so in this projection we’ll only focus on the US stock via Nike
Stock Numbers Projected
The picture above gives you an idea about the number of pairs per size. I don’t have access to the actual numbers, so we’ll have to make some assumptions based on past history to determine a good estimate for the stock numbers. We’ll go with the following distribution
Sizes 4-4.5 ( 33 pairs per size), Sizes 5-6 (84 pairs per size), Sizes 6.5-8.5 (168 per size), Sizes 9( 505), size 9.5 ( 168 pairs per size), Sizes 10( 421), size 10.5-11 (499 pairs per size) , Size 11.5 (156 pairs), Size 12 (331), Size 12.5 ( 84), Size 13 ( 505)
Total number of pairs= 33 x 2+ 84×3+168 x5+ 505+168+421+ 499×2+156+331+84+505=4326
So I will say that the number of pairs produced will be somewhere from 4,000 pairs to 5,000 pairs
Resale Value
The chart above gives you a breakdown of the average sale price by day since December the 22nd. The shoe has certainly been trending up. I’ve captured the trend by the linear regression equation below
Resale= $14.3 (t) + $236
How to use the equation? I will assume that the price of the shoe will increase by $14.3 every 30 days. So to figure out what the shoe will be worth next month, replace t by 1,
Resale Value by January the 24th= $14.3 (1)+ $236= $250.3
I don’t think the average sale price is going to change much by December the 27th, . But let’s find the five number summary for additional insights.
Minimum: 190
Quartile Q1: 219
Median: 233
Quartile Q3: 255
Maximum: 390
25% of the shoes sold for prices from $190 to $219, 50% ( the majority) sold for prices from $219 to $255 and 25% sold for values from $255 to $390. We can set the average resale value at $235 for now. There are some outliers ( irregular values ) , Set of outliers: {$325, $335, $339, $390}. To make the maximum profit, you want to be in the upper 25% and I’ll show you from the picture below what sizes those match up to.
You can pretty much figure out what sizes to aim for.
