Deconstructed: Air Jordan 13 Love & Respect 888164-112

Spread the love

Fastpass is back in the lab again; this time their targeted sneaker was the Air Jordan 13 Love & Respect. Jordan Brand was criticized last year for false advertisement; the shoe in question was the Air Jordan 15 which the brand claimed was equipped with zoom units at the forefoot. A dissection of the shoes showed that this wasn’t the case. So ever since then, I’ve been closely checking out Fastpass’s deconstruction to verify Nike’s claims. Here are the elements of the Air Jordan 13 love & respect.

the profile picture shows the inside panels, the insoles and the zoom units at the forefoot and heel
Tumbled leather on the uppers and extension of the tongue. also check out how stacked the footbed is ( insole, zoom units, woven layer)
The tongue was pulled out and isolated. You can see how thick it is from this picture
You can see the perforation on the extension of the tongue intended for ventilation purposes
A closer look at the special insole bearing the love & respect theme
woven layer under the insole
Air zoom units at the heel and forefoot separated by the midfoot carbon fiber shank
the forefoot unit is about
8.18mm thick, 88.21mm long and 56.55 mm wide for a size 9
the heel unit is about 8.10 mm thick, 48.39 mm wide and 74.34 mm long for a size 9
Carbon fiber shank intended to lighten up the shoes and for torsional rigidity
phylon midsole in addition to the zoom unit for maximum cushioning
outsole with herringbone threads for superior traction and to enhance smooth movement on the floor ( cuts, change of direction, etc..)

There you have it guys, for those who didn’t get a chance to score a pair , you can buy it on eBay from our featured sellers, see listings below
