I shared an article a couple of months ago making some suggestions to Jordan Brand about bringing back some Retros that may possibly bring some spark back to the brand. Many in the sneaker community have become numb to Jordan retros because the brand has not only brought back the same styles multiple times, but the new colorways they’ve introduced are pretty dull; to make it worse, prices have increased ridiculously and not even in function of the inflation. Well, the Nike Air Jordan 3 Mocha is projected to return in the Summer of 2018.
The Mocha 3’s were originally introduced in 2001 and I remember scooping up a pair from Champs sales’ bin for $89.99. They come in a white, chrome and dark mocha color combination. They feature a full grain leather upper with dark mocha overlays around the toe box and the quarter panel. Other technical features of the shoes include a padded heel collar to cushion the ankle, a molded heel tab, visible and invisible air units in heel and forefoot respectively. I’m definitely looking forward to picking up a pair of the Mocha 3 but the $190 is a bit much. in 2001 when they dropped, they were priced at $100 and according to the inflation , they shouldn’t be more than $150.
