In 1985, Nike designer Tinker Hatfield created a revolutionary new sneaker called the Air Jordan 1. Since its debut, the AJ1 has been a mainstay in the sneaker world, and is widely considered one of the most iconic sneakers of all time. This coming Thursday February 23, 2022, Nike is releasing a special new version of the Jordan 1 called the “Brotherhood.” The Air Jordan 1 Brotherhood pays tribute to Michael Jordan’s legendary tight-knit relationship with his fraternity, Omega Psi Phi, that he joined during his days at the University of North Carolina. Gold and purple accents honor the bonds of brotherhood, while a white midsole and yellow rubber outsole provide cushioning and durability.
