What I’m about to share with you right now stems from my Friday’s post in which I confessed how hard it was for me to spot differences between a fake and a legitimate pair of the Adidas Yeezy 350 blue tint. And to say that I️ had a difficult time is an under statement. The only way I️ could identify the replica was primarily by looking at the box label . If this doesn’t cause to cringe then I️ don’t know if you should continue to read the post .
With Jordan retro sneakers , I️ wouldn’t say that differences between fake and authentic pairs are easy to spot but within 5 minutes, I’m usually able to identify 99% of the flaws on the replicas. I️ spent close to an hour yesterday looking at the replica Yeezy 350 Blue Tint with the back drop of an authentic pair and I almost pull the little bit of hair I️ have left on my head- yes I was that frustrated.
The only nuances I️ finally found were the slightly different shape of the toe box and the placement of the back tab. Now think about it, how hard is it for any replica factory to fix this? I️ can guarantee you that by the end of next week a new batch of replicas will be out and will make its way across our borders. I️ wonder how many unsuspecting folks have been deceived with these types of fakes. Adidas must be held responsible for this; the lack of intricate details on their sneakers ( I’ll be more precise the Yeezy 350 sneakers) is one the main reasons why underground factories are able to create 1:1 prototypes.
Let’s face it, the Yeezy 350 doesn’t have enough elaborate details so replicating it isn’t hard at all. The replica industry has laid its hands on expensive machinery to produce top notch quality counterfeits that are undetectable the untrained eye. Adidas is charging the consumer $220 for a shoe that can be easily replicated- not a fair deal for the consumer,
If I’m paying top dollars for my product, I’m expecting a unique product that shouldn’t be easily counterfeited or else why am I️ paying this much money for it
And Steve Joseph made a great point: some of the major brands because of greed are now using cheaper materials that can be easily sourced by the underground factories as well . And not only can they source the cheaper materials but some of them are also able to afford the more expensive OEM material too. This is a serious problem that brands must no longer ignore. There has to be a significant gap between a fake and a real pair. The replica industry has almost closed that and it has left the consumer with no choice but to violate his /her moral compass and opt for the more affordable counterfeit for the reasons I️’ve shared with you above.
