What I Found On Wednesday: The Nike Air Diamond Turf OG Atlanta Falcons

Sharing is caring!

As much as I like surfing the internet for sneakers, there is absolutely nothing more rewarding than the actual act of “sneaker hunting”. Physically heading to low-key sneaker spots and finding gems after gems and being filled with an indescribable ecstatic emotion. Well yesterday, it happened when I came across the Nike Air Diamond Turf OG.

Originally introduced in 1993, the Diamond Turfs were prime time Deion Sanders first signature sneakers. They became an instant hit and were brought back several times (2005,2010,2011 and 2013) since they were first released. The Nike Air Diamond Turf OG comes in the Atlanta Falcons white, red and black uniform colors; the shoes feature a leather and synthetic upper with a velcro fastener across the forefoot for support. The bottom layer of the strap featured nubuck materials on the previous editions; but with the 2017 model Nike replaced it with some type of composite leather which might not sit well with many. Completing the shoes are a phylon midsole with encapsulated air unit for shock absorption and a rubber outsole for superior traction.
