The Nike Air Force 1 YOTD Year Of The Dog Embodies The Festival

The Air Force 1 has certainly stood the test of time; the last couple of years have engendered a lot of striking colorways and the one that has caught my attention the most is the Jungle Camo Air Force 1.

This year the Chinese New Year will have for theme the animal commonly known as  man’s best friend. If you haven’t figure it out , it’s the Year Of The Dog and Nike is concocting  a pair of Air Force 1 that has captured the essence of the festival .
The quarter panel will feature a fur material symbolic of a dog’s hair. The heel has Chinese inscriptions  probably paralleling ideas about the festival. The mudguard has telling graphics depicting the artworks of  the inside of the worship temple and finally the toe box and that panels  are covered with lasered arts  reminiscent of the idea of Good Fortune. I guess the all white base of the shoe might be expressing purity ( take this as a grain of salt, this is my own interpretation). The Air Force 1 YOTD is schedule to release in 2018 but there is no confirmed date yet. Stay tuned for further updates.
In other news, the Rocafella Air force 1 is dropping officially tomorrow, find out more details about it in the link below
